Periodization
At Full Focus Football, we believe development doesn’t happen by chance — it happens through intentional structure and progression. That’s why we apply the principles of periodization to every level of our training curriculum.
Periodization is the strategic organization of training over time, broken into cycles that balance skill acquisition, physical development, tactical growth, and recovery. It ensures that players train at the right intensity, with the right focus, at the right time building long-term success without burnout.
📊 Periodization Structure:
🧒 U5–U8: Foundations and Fun
⚽ U9–U12: Skill Acquisition & Game Understanding
🏆 U13–U18: Performance, Position, and Purpose
📈 Why Periodization Matters:
By following age-appropriate periodization models, we help players train smarter, develop faster, and love the process.

3–6 week training blocks targeting specific developmental goals like attacking principles, ball mastery, defending, or transition play. - Microcycle (Weekly Plan):
Weekly structure focusing on technical and tactical themes with 2–3 sessions, progression days, and recovery built in.
